I have a new love in my life, but it is OK because Irene gave it to me for our anniversary. This is what she got me:
It is a Brooks B-17 leather saddle for my bike. Brooks has been selling this saddle for more than 100 years and it fantastic. It is already the most comfortable saddle I've ridden on, but the cool thing is that after a few hundred miles, it breaks in to fit specifically to the owners sit bones. The biggest drawback, though, is the weight of it. You don't see these guys on race bikes. I've got it on my commuter and my butt will be happy before and after work.

My saddles all broke in gradually, but the more you ride the better they get. Your butt has the break in too. You'll see that the saddle will conform to your sit bones after awhile.
Best thing is that they breathe and that keeps your rear cool in the summer.
Cheers! Bruce
